Sorry.  Halav akum is indeed the 
possessive.  Akum is not an adjective, but a 
noun.  Generally a clean way of saying nokhri.

And the semikhut of halav often follows that of 
hakham (qamatz, qamatz), which becomes hakham (hataf patah, patah).

Ashan becomes eshen, if that is of interest.
