Maybe I was not clear.  My question is what tense is venilkadti:  past or future.  Should be future, in parallel with ekashel;  Artscroll has it as mil'eil and hence past tense, maybe?    Gershon

Sounds ok to me. Lamed Kaf Dalet isn't caught in the sense of discovered and found out, but caught in the trap. In this case, the trap was set by the yetzer hara, and of course we fear getting caught in it. Akiva Miller
