Does he have tushbachos everywhere, rather than tishbochos? All the mss. do. »

Indeed Baer usually decides by grammar

This point may be 100% valid, and I myself do NOT agree with Baer 100%

All I'm saying is, since the "returns are not all in" it is premature to declare a definitive winner

And that Baer's decision on Konam was not the same on Tishbachos afaict.

I often daven from the Hofmeister Siddur

I even called the author because I suspected and detected an error which he confirmed with me re: v'shochat osso. He told me to wait until his 2nd edition Comes out.

As I posted elsewhere, Hofmeister convinced me that Geshem is better than Goshem. And he and I concur with him that therefore it should be Tal and not Tol, despite R Yaakov Maminetsky ZL's limmud z'chus.

I don't do manuscripts. All I can say is that there appear to be conflicts re: many cases - EG the singular vs. The plural re: the end of Hamaavir sheinah.

I also follow FFDM KAJ R Hamburger R Hofmeister et al and say v'yism'chu v'cho instead of v'yanauchu voh.

The clincher here for me was R Hamburger's article in shorshei Mihag Ashkenaz.

I don't have a slavish sheetah here except that I sense many unfairly malign Heidenheim and Baer which I believe is ethically wrong to do. I think it's better to be dan them l'kaf z'chus. Some people need to demonize. Personally I find that repugnant in cases such as these, especially since r Breuer, R Hirsch and R Schwab A"H bought into many of these emendations.
