Nusach evolves, that's what it does. .»

OK so what's wrong of Hanau Heidenheim and Baer evolve the dikduk? What's wrong with gashem over Geshem or shelo assani nochri over shelo assani goy or even she'assani yisroel?

What's wrong with Birkas hamminim omitting minnim? Or aleinu omitting sheheim mishtachavim?

Why did GRA painstakingly try to roll back revisions? [It's quite similar in intention to R Hofmeister from what I can tell]

Also please read Shemesh Marpei #2 for Rabbiner Hirch's perspective.

--------------------

I like nochri better than goy. Sounds less perjorative to me
Goy has connotations

That said, most changes forward or backwards have trade-offs.

EG Yisgadeil feels silly to me. The Aramaic is some form of yisrabei anyway. So YisgadAl is self-evidently Hebrew even with a patach

That said, adding Mashiv Haru'ach uMorid hattal all summer makes a lot of sense to me, because I see no downside. And I agree with GRA and Kitzur SA that if you're going to say Morrid Hatal then add mashiv haru'ach to it.

Shalom and Regards, RRW
