[Avodah] Twelve Months Mourning

The Shach (Y"D 344:9) states that if a parent commands a child not to observe the 12 months of mourning, it is a mitzvah to follow their command.  Does anyone know whether this is the generally accepted halacha?  Has anyone seen anything on whether  "ruach chachamim" would be noche  towards a parent who did so command?
