[Mesorah] RSM

Looking at the link referenced by R' Michael in his post earlier today, I
was saddened to learn that Rabbi Seth Mandel, former very active member of
this group, left our chabura for a better world some months ago.
While no doubt many of the US-based (and former US-based) members knew of
his passing, as no mention was made on Mesorah, I and probably others too
were unaware of it.

Until I read R' Micha's appreciation of him at
https://aspaqlaria.aishdas.org/2023/05/24/rsm/ just now, I knew him only
from his posts here.
Although his knowledge was in a different league to that of most of us, he
was always eager to teach us, and would respond patiently and in detail to
almost any question, without a trace of self-esteem and often with humor
(especially in his exchanges with RDB - how is he BTW?).
The Mesorah group will be poorer without him.
