[Mesorah] vav hahipuch and the jussive mood

Further to R' Seth's response, methinks that vayhi has nothing to do with
the jussive.  It is vayhi and not vayihye because lamed-heh verbs in the
future tense lose the final heh of the root when preceded by a vav
hahipuch, e.g. vayar, vayesht.
