[Mesorah] Bemidbar or Bamidbar?

Sh'mos is a good one

I prefer "B'har Sinai" to B'har.

It seems to me that the titles usually - though not always - were comprised of the "phrase" or expression

Toldos No'ah
Toldos Yitzchok

We still have "Hayyei Sarah"

We usually say Kee Seitzei and Kee Savo
But some Humashim had/have "taiezei" and "tavo" only

We usually say "v'zos Habb'rochoh"
Some have "brochoh" only

I've got to wonder if printers were conserving ink, etc.

At any rate, the term used is like a "handle" just a reference to the‎ Parshah, and often in short-hand. I prefer more grammatically correct phrases as a pedagogical tool. Re-re-emphasizing how to use "semichus" seems a good idea for kids to "get it" correctly.

Otherwise, it's just a "term" and for m'vinnim, we can forgive the shortcuts.
