Or, to remove idioms that if taken literally would be heretical. "Yad
Hashem" (Shemos 9:3) becomes "macha min qadam Hashem". In the Throne
Vision at the end of Mishpatim (24:10), "vayir'u es E-lokei Yisrael"
becomes "vachazo yas yaqar E-laha deYisrael" (saying they saw kevod H'
rather than implying one could see G-d Himself).
