At the risk of being off-topic...

Although Wikipedia says "The borough of the Bronx was named for the river
that was 'Bronck's River'", the folk wisdom in NYC is that the borough
originally got its name because the Bronck family owned a farm, which people
would visit, saying "I'm going to the Broncks'."

    While the Postal Service may deliver to "Bronx, NY", it is the Borough 
of the Bronx and also the County of Bronx.
    (IIRC a criminal case was thrown out years ago when the complaint read 
"County of the Bronx" instead of "County of Bronx"!)
