So we now see that the Lamed prefix is used when pointing to a specific point during a specfic stretch of time. I think "of" might be a valid and consistent translation in such contexts.

This is good. We're making progress. More examples, anyone?

(I'm getting some distinct feelings that the lamed is a time analog for what beis does in space. Temporal location and spatial location. Lamed points forward, *to* a point, while beis drills down to a subdivision *in* the bigger thing, but that is because our consciousness is trapped moving in time, while we go back and forth in space.)
