All berachos of shemoneh esrei have a personal component--we ask for
Hashem to give *us* (plural) bina, teshuva, selicha, etc.

Some berachos stress the communal need more, such as velirushalayim
irecha, but still include "bekarov beyamenu" or some such.

Two exceptions:

1. Avodah: Retze H"E be'amcha *Yisrael* ...ve'eshei *Yisrael*
usefilasam...usehi leratzon tamid avodas *Yisrael* amecha.

Although it does end off with vesechezena eineinu, the AK"HG appeared
to have gone out of their way to express the tefila, in the main, in
third person.

2. Shalom, specifically shalom rav (Sim shalom includes alenu ve'al kol
Yisrael...) al *Yisrael* amecha tasim le'olam...vetov be'einecha
levarech es amecha *Yisrael* ...

Again, there appears to have been a specific effort to keep it in 3rd
person.

Why?
