[Avodah] Shul Practices

I was reminded of this question this evening. Our shul is nominally 
nusach Sefard. However if someone (like moi) does daven Ashkenaz, the 
gabbi is OK, but insists on things like:
Saying Shir Ha'ma'lot in Maariv
Saying Keter during Mussaf
