Z frankel ran with this to hirsch's consternation but imho frankel was more correct to take things less literally and hirsch was wrong to draw a line in the sand that was not so defensible

And hirsch slammed him for not being courageous etc.  But frankel was simply not being ideological and refusing to state beliefs w/o evidence
