I've been reluctant to jump on the bandwagon with regard to the Rubashkin case. However, my sister recently did some reseach and convinced me that supporting him is the right thing to do. No one doubts his guilt - it's the punishment being pursued which is overly excessive. 

As such, I'm fowarding a youtube link that I was sent as well as an article that appeared today in the Wall Street Journal. It's a very well done piece about what happened and what he's being charged with. I'd recommend reading/viewing and researching yourself. But either way, whether you support him or not, please keep him in your prayers.

Please take out a few moments and say some tehillim (psalms) for the Israeli chayalim (soldiers) & for everyone living in Israel. Please also same some tehillim for the captive Israeli soldiers:

Gilad ben Aviva (Shalit), captured just outside Gaza on June 25, 2006;
Guy ben Rina (Hever), disappeared near the Syrian-Israeli border in the Golan Heights in August 1997;
Tzvi ben Pninah (Feldman), Yekutiel Yehuda Nachman ben Sarah (Katz), and Zecharia Shlomo ben Miriam (Baumel), all captured at the Sultan Yaaqub battle in Lebanon on June 11,1982.

Also please keep in mind the three Yeshiva students who were jailed in Japan:
Ya'akov Yosef ben Reizel 

Yoel Ze'ev ben Mirel Risa Chava
