Hi all! 

I had a conversation with my high school rebbe, Rabbi Shalom Weingot yesterday (we've kept in touch on-and-off over the years). He's started a *wonderful* organization that works with kids at risk and families and teaches both parents and children how to better communicate. He's a very special person with a heart of gold and really gives his all to everything he does. The name of the organization is called Bneinu and is based in Baltimore, MD.

Anyway, what I've decided to do is that anyone who'd like to sponsor an issue of Toras Aish - the funds will all be sent to Bneinu in Baltimore. So if you have an occasion, a yartzeit, a simcha or just an excuse, please feel free to let me know and I'd be happy to hold an issue for you. If you'd be interested in simply sending money to the organization, please respond back and I'll give you the details.

Please take out a few moments and say some tehillim (psalms) for the Israeli chayalim (soldiers) & for everyone living in Israel. Please also same some tehillim for the captive Israeli soldiers:

Gilad ben Aviva (Shalit), captured just outside Gaza on June 25, 2006;
Guy ben Rina (Hever), disappeared near the Syrian-Israeli border in the Golan Heights in August 1997;
Tzvi ben Pninah (Feldman), Yekutiel Yehuda Nachman ben Sarah (Katz), and Zecharia Shlomo ben Miriam (Baumel), all captured at the Sultan Yaaqub battle in Lebanon on June 11,1982.

Also please keep in mind twoYeshiva students who are jailed in Japan:
