<div dir="ltr">That is correct. The form q’tila in Hebrew is a nominal verb form, functioning as a gerund (“blowing”). The Torah only uses a noun, t’ru’ah. From the root t-q-‘ there is no noun, so the gerund is used where a nominal form is needed. </div>
