> May we all be zokhe to a year of m'hila, s'licha and kapparah (as the
Teimanim say) or a gut gebentsht yohr, as speakers of that European
language say, and a year of health, happiness and shalom. <
Kein y'hi Ratzon! and that wish brings to mind an annual question of mine:
in "Avinu Malkeinu", should the order of s'farim be "m'chilah uslichah" or
"s'lichah umchilah" (and does the answer depend on the phraseology of the
YhK "Y'hi Ratzon" prior to the "Al Cheit"s)? FWIW, minhag FFdM has the
phrase as "m'chilah uslichah" (and I see tonight that the
recently-published siddur by Rav Hofmeister, approved by Machon Moreshes
Ashkenaz, also uses that order), while for other q'hilos the
Roedelheim-print siddur (and other siddurim and machzorim, like Artscroll)
list(s) the phrase as "s'lichah umchilah". Thanks.
