In Tanach "willow" seems to be consistently masculine. Not only "`arvei
nachal" rather than "`arvois", but also see Yeshaya 15:7, 44:4.
But what is the singular?

"`Aravah", in Tanach, seems to always mean a plain, desert, or other
expanse of territory ("`Arvos Moav", or the Heaven called "`Aravos").
