And so indeed, once Rabbenu Tam tells us "changing a b'rachah for greater clarity" why can't one be someich on RT?! Especialy a really minor change when we can see that many b'rachos were somewhat plastic

Why not leave it as is?  Would the fact that sand etc. Does replacing water with sand make al N'tillas yadadyim problamtic

And despite the status of Rabbenu Tam not everyone bought his emndation

And despite the status of Rosh and Tur, not everyone bought their emendation

And despite Status of GRA, not everyone omits b'rachamav from Boneh Y'rushalayim!

So I'm not sure how stature figures in.
