It is what it is :).  This word's pausal form seems to only occur with a top-level mafsiq but not with a zaqeif (while some other nouns' pausal forms also occur with a zaqeif).

Is there a different "l'shon CHaZaL" for this word (or for the phrase "kavod v'siferes")?
