[Mesorah] vowel-yod diphthongs at end of word?

Yod/y is a semi vowel, so the distinction between your two choices is a bit
subtle. I believe it is indeed prounouced as a diphthong. OTOH, it is
treated at least somewhat like a consonant, because IIRC, such a yod would
be followed by a dagesh kal.
