First a short note this is also found in Birchas Hamozon "Shoatoh Zun"
likewise in Birchas Geshem and Tal "Shoatoh Hu".

I am quoting from the notes on the Siddur Torah Ohr (the Baal HaTanya's
siddur) written By Dayan L. Y. Raskin page 369 (Birkas Hamozon):

"השי"ן של "שאתה זן" נקודה בקמץ גדול, כדי להרחיב האל"ף" (אלי, רבה סי' קפ"ז
ס"א, וכן כתב המשנה ברורה, שם סק"ב), וכן הוא גם הביטוי של "שאתה" בתחלת ברכת
'מודים' (אלי' רבה שם, ובסי' קכ"א סק"א). ובסידור ר' שבתי סופר מציין שכן נוקד
במקרא (שופטים ו, יז), ושכן הוא בסידור מהרש"ל בשם סידור מהרא"ק. וראה בזה עוד
קןבץ בית אהרן וישראל (גליון צח). וראה בזה גם בשער הכולל (פ"ז סי"ח, נעתק
לעיל בתפלת שחרית הע' 181 הוספות לס' לוח ארש (ע' תנא), ושם נסמן.

And here is the Loshon of the Shaar Hakolel (referenced earlier)

השין בקמץ, וכן בכל מקום שנמצא תיבת "שאתה", צריך להיות השין בקמץ, וכן הוא
בפסוק  (שופטים ו,יז) "שאתה מדבר עמי" השין בקמץ (ועיין מנחת שי, וכן מנוקד
בסידור שער השמים, אמשטרדם).
