[Mesorah] Instances of one word repeated twice

Three in parshas bamidbar (which should be "bE-midbar"!):

1:4 "Ish"

later: in rivi'i or chamishi "umishbachas" (my son Yonah Aryeh found 
this one)

and then "kol be-chor" and even if you think kol and chol, i.e. kaf w/o 
a dagaish kal, are different, you still have bechor.

Is there any significance to this tripling or is this just our 
demonstration of ahavas ha-torah?
