Just to get the basic information on the table:

The nusach shenishtalcha (not ha-nish...) was changed by R' 
Yitzhak Satanov in his Vayetar Yitzhak to ha-shelucha.  He 
and R' Zalman Henne were the major change-makers in the 
1700's in their attempt to improve the siddur by replacing 
rabbinic Hebrew terms with biblical ones.

R' Wolf Heidenheim accepted many of these changes and the 
Roedelheim editions have ha-shlucha.  R'Seligmann Baer in 
his Siddur Avodat Israel recorrected back to she-nishtalcha 
and explains the error in RY"S's logic (shlucha is present, 
nishtalcha is past).  In his comms he also mentions se'ir 
ha-mishtaleach of the present thread as well as words like 
nitrahaknu, nishtanah etc.
