Am I wrong, or does "mishtaleiach" mean "that sent itself"?

It hit me this morning that there may be something very deep in it not
being the "se'ir hanishlach". However, before I say something about it
to someone who couldn't catch a flawed assumption, I though I would
bounce the idea here.
