For the record:
(a) I didn't say it was a t'lishah -- I said it *looked* like a t'lishah.
(b) I didn't disagree with its being a tzinoris in sifrei EMeTH and a 
zarqa in other s'farim.

My previous message's last question, rephrased specifically re this ta'am 
in the light of RDB's latest words: when did the "old symbol" change to 
the current symbol, and what's the story (if any) behind the change?
