responses.  Stupidly, I did no research before posting, and I apologize
for wasting your time: a quick look at the Mikraos G'dolos would have
shown me what Rashi, Radak, Yonasan, Ri Kara have to say.  Thank you,
whoever it was, for the reference to Tosafos: I'll check it out, b'li
neder.  G'mar chasima tova to all.
