of lishma?<br>

The gemara then posits a pasuk as the source of Beit Shammai’s position, then asks doesn’t he need that pasuk for something else, and replies ein hachi name (yes) and so quotes another pasuk instead. What was the point of Ravina/Rav Ashi including the rejected

pasuk as part of the record?</font></div>
