     In this article only a few of such

“<i>manot</i>” (“portions”, “gifts”) can be mentioned.<br><br>

     Rabbi Shlomo Alkabetz, the author of <i>Lekha

Dodi</i>wrote a commentary on the Book of Esther and sent it as a Purim

present to his future father-in-law.<br><br>
