be. The community here was wiped out, or almost wiped out, in the
Crusades, and the people who reestablished the Jewish community
here brought their minhagim. Why would anyone expect that that

What I am referring to when I mean the celebration of Simchas
Torah, and I admit that I was not so clear before, is the
completion of the Torah yearly. This was not done in EY and was
done in Galus. So my question is, "Why wasn't the triennial
cycle reestablished in EY when the Jews returned to EY?" <br>
