In the Sefer Shalmey MoEd on page 344, quoting R SZ Aurbach, it is explained that Matza is HaMotzi on all days of the year (and not Mezonos) since it does not crumble - "MitPoRerr" in ones mouth. <div>I presume he means that bread we are familiar with does not crumble in the mouth unlike biscuits crackers wafers pretzels etc. </div>
