<div style="clear: both;">The Rabbi of my community (Rabbi Elie Weissman of the Young Israel of Plainview) said in his speech last shabbos that "any Rabbi worth his salt will tell you that a woman becoming a Rabbi is not a halachic issue; it is an hashkafic one". I have heard however from other sources that it indeed is an halachic issue. Which statement is correct? </div>
