free to disagree) I would say that it is the idea of shleimus ha'adam and of the
Tzelem Elokim it represents. Removing the beard could be seen as a certain
chesoron in this shleimus. This notion is too straight forward so I would
be surprised if some of the the meforshim do not use it, but I do not know,
as I have not looked into this.</FONT></DIV>
