<div>The Nsivos (Mishpat haUrim) C"M 36 #10 brings the Tumim s"k 11, that it does not apply to women for the reason you mention. However in the new edition with the Miluei Mishpot he brings many sources (including Maharik haChadoshos # 47) that it also applies to a women Ayin Shom.</div>
