<p><font color="red">M</font> = Maadim (Mars)</p>
<p>Conflating "notim" and "lo" is apparently poetic licence.</p>
<p>Given the context of the piyyut (yotzer ha-meorot), its theme, and the mention of the sun and moon, it seems to me almost certain that the above is the conscious intention of the paytan.</p>
<p>I saw this in Otzar HaT'filot, ayen sham.</p>
