Bottom Line:<br>I am a bit of a pragmatist.<br>I do get that the ideal time for Selichos is just before dawn, but few of us actually say Selichos at that hour either.<br><br>Every option one poses, presents a compromise on SOME level.
<br>E.G. if you say Selichos before a 7:00 AM Minyan you are probably going to have to rush it through in order for people get to work. What a Trade-off! Does eis ratzon really present a net gain over the probable loss when hurrying through the 13 middos!
<br><br>And as far as I can see this is NOT a matter of compromising some great Halachic principle.<br>Nevertheless, the facts are: Virtually zero Poskim see it that way so I am confined to being a voice crying out: "In the Desert!"
