research on this for a group I learn with. I noticed that while the gemara uses 
it sparingly (4 times or so) Rashi defines it as chassid which is used with much 
greater frequency. This got me to thinking as to why the gemara would use 2 
terms for the same concept (if indeed this is the case). Any derech to an
