<div>Joel, look at the ArtScroll edition (or is it Mesorah?) of Rav Moshe Feinstein's life and I think you'l find he brought up a sefer of Mishneh Brurah (?) with him when he had an Aliyah so as not to waste any time in between the Aliyot.
