[Avodah] Right to haftara

Fascinating (to me) report from R’ A Lebowitz concerning R Schacter‘s position that not all the minyanim in a shul should say the haftara from a claf because people who have yahrtzeit want to say the haftara and they won’t be able to do it from a claf. R’ H Schachter reported that R’YBS held that a yahrtzeit has a “right“ to say the haftara.

Fascinating interplay of priorities- if saying from a claf is lchatchila, then what is “the right” being discussed that overpowers it?
