As Yiddish names fell out of fashion, it became common to substitute Hebrew
translations. Shayna>Yaffa, Gittel>Tova, Feige>Tzipora, Raizel>Vered or
Shoshana, and so on.

Would you consider Ovadya/Abdallah a translation?
