BNEI BRAK (VINnews) — In a rare video published on Kikar Shabbos for the first time ever, HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky is seen discussing whether “Kovetz Igros” of the Chazon Ish can be relied upon for psak halacha.

In the footage, recorded about 15 years ago, Rav Chaim’s close talmid, Rabbi Uri Tiger, is seen asking about a statement in the sefer “Az Nidberu”, saying one may not rely on the letters to pasken. However Rav Chaim Greineman disagreed and held that the letters may be relied upon.
