[Avodah] family room

My note to a Rabbi re: "family room" at chapel:
Just curious whether you've ever gotten any traction with people not doing the open house at the funeral chapel. I'm sure there are some people who know you're not allowed to comfort, it just seems like a big chukat hagoyim/lfnei iver.  Any thoughts on this practice?
