Why Don't Women Wear A Yarmulke?

There are two halachos of covering one's head.  The first is not to walk 4 amos with your head uncovered.  Whether this is a minhag or a Halacha is not the subject of this Teshuva.  However this was never intended for females and is not practiced.


funny/ironic- I gave a shiur on the topic of male head covering a number of years ago and was unable to figure out why "this was never intended for females and is not practiced.  " given that the primary sources imply the reason is to show fear of heaven (especially if you say the reason then was because women stayed home)
