[Avodah] paskening according to nevua

Lo bashamayim hi (in tanur ahnai)..

Nefesh haHaim on why the avot could modify halakha and we cannot.

These sources seem to indicate that paskening by nevua or in ways akin to it is not permitted, which makes perfect sense.  The Torah is sealed with Moshe Rabbenu.
