I don't think so. People are often confused about their feelings. Someone might think that he is happy, when actually he is just satisfied. Or he might think he is happy, when actually he is fed up and has given up the desire to complain. The opposite can also happen, like when someone thinks that he is unhappy, when actually finding problems and complaining about them is a great pleasure to him.
It's possible that I am mistaken in the above. But doesn't this sort of confusion happen frequently? I'm hoping that the chevra might include a Mental Health Professional who can explain my point better than I can.
