[Avodah] Correct a korei

RZS replied:

doesn't change the meaning. Harun is the same name as Aharon.>>
 
Absolutely, except that the AhS argues that the Manhig would agree that if the korei said keves instead of kesev, we would make him go back because it is a different word, even though there is no change in the meaning of the word.  That is why he (the AhS) needed to find an alternative explanation for why Aharon to Haron is alright according to the Manhig.  
 
As RRW has pointed out to me offlist, this seems to be case of poskim relying on a daas yachid, rather than actually paskening that way.
