On a related topic to rmb's response (below) to who was yaakov's real wife: my question is as follows: we are taught from the yehuda/tamar story that it is better to be burned at the stake than to embarrass someone. However, with the rochel case, she didn't want to embarrass her sister, not on her own cheshbon's account (like tamar) but on yaakov's account. Was this proper???
