It seems according to many that Moshe Rabbeinu erred by mei meriva in
that he HIT the rock instead of speaking to it.

That seems pretty pashut

However, when HKBH tells Moshe "asei le saraph"

And Moshe Rabeinu
Vaya'as Moshe Nechash Nechoshes.."

HKBH said "Saraph"
Moshe made "Nechash nechoshes" lich'ora is this not, too, a deviation -
albeit minor - from HKBH's statement?

Does anyone comment on this?
