It's a stretch, IMHO, to associate "Yeru" with "Ur" (as in: Ur Kasdim).

I suggested the name of the city was a portmanteau of Avraham's words,
asher yei'amer hayom "behar Hashem YEIRA'EH" with Malkizedeq melekh
SHALEIM's message of shalom and sheleimus.
